About the role:
About the role AstraZeneca is scaling the AI Coach program to uplift customer engagement skills for field teams using Meta-Skills Avatars. You will coordinate market onboarding and customize brand scenarios and prompts across 6 BBU brands (with potential OBU expansion), supporting 40–50 markets. Partnering with external and internal stakeholders, you’ll translate global benchmark avatars into market-ready experiences, ensure testing and quality, and enable rapid adaptation by Market Companies (MCs). This role is hands-on with prompt/context engineering and market coordination, with strong ties to Commercial Excellence, GBS, and Commercial IT.
Key responsibilities:
Market coordination: Align rollout plans per market, schedule pilots and launches, and manage dependencies and timelines across 40–50 MCs.
Prompt and context engineering: Customize 3–4 scenarios per brand and ~9 prompts per scenario, preserving core PCS feedback logic while adapting persona, language, and local context.
Avatar adaptation: Guide MCs through fast-turn adaptations (1–6 hours per avatar), including persona/face changes, language localization, and scenario tweaks; validate first-time translations for precision.
Testing and QA orchestration: Coordinate market testing cycles, capture feedback, iterate prompts, and ensure regulatory and brand alignment across commercial use cases.
Governance and change management support: Partner with AZ change leads to socialize the AI Coach, manage approval gates, and maintain adoption metrics; keep leadership visibility with cadence reporting.
Capacity planning: Estimate and monitor efficiency (target 200–250 avatars in year one), forecast resource needs, and recommend scale-up of the external core group.
Stakeholder integration: Work side-by-side with vendor's PM and Prompt Specialists; integrate with internal GBS and Commercial IT partners (e.g., Sindhu) to evolve AZ’s strategic capability in prompt/context engineering.
Enablement and training: Leverage Meta-Skills onboarding, support SME training for Avatar Studio, and produce playbooks/templates to standardize market adaptations.
Risk and compliance: Apply guardrails for brand, medical, and regulatory compliance; flag risks early and drive mitigation across markets and brands.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years in commercial learning technologies, conversational AI, or digital rollout across multiple markets; experience coordinating vendors and internal teams.
Technical skills: Hands-on with generative AI prompting, context curation, and scenario design; familiarity with avatar-based simulations and feedback frameworks.
Domain knowledge: Understanding of pharma commercial practices (PCS/customer engagement), brand localization, and approval workflows; knowledge of medical/market access contexts is a plus.
Language and localization: Experience guiding multilingual deployments; comfortable validating translations for accuracy and tone, even when core logic remains unchanged.
Project delivery: Strong program coordination, QA, and governance execution; adept at tracking milestones across parallel rollouts. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Communication: Clear, structured communication with market stakeholders and executives; ability to produce concise status, risks, and adoption insights.
Tools: Exposure to Avatar Studio or similar; prompt repositories, QA frameworks, and basic analytics; SSO-aware user flows and compliance processes.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with vendor collaboration and RAG-enhanced prompting.
Prior work in BBU brands or similar therapeutic areas; understanding of iCVA, adoption ladders, and objection handling.
Background in GBS/Commercial IT or Commercial Excellence teams, bridging business and technology.
Success metrics
On-time pilot (Sep–Nov) and rollout (Dec) milestones per market and brand.
Quality of avatar interactions (precision of feedback; minimal rework after first translation).
Adoption and usage across target roles (Sales Reps initially; extension to Medical and Market Access).
Throughput against annual capacity (e.g., 200–250 avatars) and cycle-time reductions for market adaptations.
Stakeholder satisfaction and reduced variance in market execution via standardized templates/playbooks.
Working model
Location: India-based hours aligned to European time zones; English-language delivery. Coordination with global markets; hybrid/remote within AZ policies.
Collaboration: Works closely with third-party core team and AZ GBS resource; integrates with Commercial IT and Commercial Excellence for governance and capability building.
Why AstraZeneca? Join a global program at the intersection of commercial excellence and AI, helping scale a meta-skills coaching platform across brands and markets. You’ll shape AZ’s strategic capability in prompt and context engineering while delivering measurable impact on field engagement.
